Just hope that he doesnt end up like a Matt Leinart

I’m a UGA fan but was glad to see Stafford go. His one consistency is his inconsistency. In big games, he had tunnel vision and OFTEN threw into multiple coverage while other guys were wide open. He will also have trouble playing in the wind since he doesn’t throw a tight spiral. Knowshon Moreno made Stafford look far better than he was. I’m not saying he’s the next Ryan Leaf but don’t count your chickens with Stafford just yet. I hope he does well though. We’ll see.

damn stafford has a gun hahaha

it takes longer for an offense to gel than it does a defense. get that o-line into place, and they concentrate your drafts on defensive players.

I will agree with you. martin mayhew is a very smart guy. after his playing career with the redskins, he went on to georgetown law school and got a JD. they have some players in place. now they need to address the offensive line and defensive line. I think having culpepper there can only help. if he needs to give stafford some time, then he’s there. I see the lions winning at least 6 this year, and that would be a huge turn around.

I agree. Lions did a excellent job this draft imo.

the rookie from penn state played well. he caught the touchdown pass. regardless, I think stafford played really well. with megatron and pettigrew in the lineup, that gives him more weapons. just hope they can block for him. part of me wish they drafted oher rather than pettigrew, but pettigrew can be viewed as an offensive lineman for his blocking skills.

    Didnt know it was Colbert.

Yes I wasn’t sure about Stafford because I don’t want him starting at all this year. I still don’t, but I’m just sayin’ C-pep, or Matt game one I’ll be okay with it.

Only still…Just preseason. Remember last year how sweet the Lions looked going 4-0?? Where did that get us? 0-16.

the lions dont suck,it was the coach.

they are by far not the worst team.

i would say the browns suck and the lions will have a great year.

although im not a fan of matt,i still have faith in the team.

Lions are without a doubt the worst team EVER! However, If Safford can turn this sorry ass team around will be the biggest turnaround since the 08-09 Dolphins.

After watching this I feel better about that number1 pick now and thank god detroit has a good coaching staff now to show this kid the ropes- luv how he looked off the defense b4 he thru that td- and that kid brown whoa- detroit will def have some offence this year

rookie? colbert has been in the league for like 5 years. he’s just another USC bust.

  17. 17dowrk333

my god his throw is so crisp. its like a fuckin rifle! . fuck the cannon arm lol

  18. 18USAallDAY911

I watch that rookie WR drop 4 total perfect throws. Its such a clean throw Matt has. The pic was a common mistake when pressured to throw to the flat. Im very happy with Matts performance

Looks like a young John Elway.

2nd string and just wait until CJ and BP are in there

  21. 21TheKturner05

He looks good but I guess you should against 3rd stringers. Hope he has a good start next week.

Stafford did work, and i like D. Williams as a slot reciever, he should be the third man instead of the other guy Northcutt i think, hes amazing

  23. 23Caligula42

Stafford is gonna be a star in the NFL. He’ll be a starter by the 3rd or 4th week.

  24. 24jmarquise

what people don’t realize about stafford when comparing him to say, mark sanchez, is that stafford was a 3 year starter at georgia. each of those 3 years, he became much better than he was the year before. he also played against the best defenses in college football. I look at this video and all the pressure he was under, and he still looked poised. if megatron was playing in colberts place, he would have been 10/14 for over 150 yards. I would like to see what he can do with some time.

i think he played a grate game
